Well another Fathers Day has come and gone...
To all Daddy's: Happy Father's Day. I hope it was a good one.

This one was the hard one for me.
Since noone knows me (except Cid) I lost my Dad March 15th, 2008, so this Father's Day was rough.
Being 3 months to the date and the holiday.
I spent most of the day at the cemetary, took the kids to say "hi" and put up some Father's Day cards etc.
I was doing the "girl" thing and being "Daddy's little brat" I bawled for most of the day...


To top it off, my ex (kids dad) is being *silly* (to be nice, as I can be - I won't slam him down anyway)

I know too many people that would FIGHT to see their kids on father's day...why not him??? I don't get it anymore.

He used to be so great with wanting the kids...We fought for almost 3 yrs for custody etc...for one day to just turn around and say "you win, take them" WTF??

The look of disappointment on their faces was enough to break my heart in two. They saw him for 4 hrs total and hadn't seen him in a month.

Fair? Hell no, but if thats how he wants to be, he will realise that the kids won't care so much each time. Right??
(Kids are 5 & 12)

To all you fathers that would do anything to see your kids, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. No father deserves to not see their kids! Fight to see them. I was one of the lucky kids that had parents remain together for over 30+ years with no fights, no divorce etc. My parents are truly the "showcase parents"

But being divorced myself and going thru the custody issues etc, I am the mommy that sees the other side...

If you could see the look on their faces when they hear "daddy is coming to get you for the day" it is really the greatest to see those smiles...
