According to the governor of my state, it is o.k. to go without a mask in public if you have been vaccinated. Since when has the honor code ever worked in public? ~

If you see a good looking woman around town four times in one week and she smiles at you every time, but you don't try to talk to her and then you don't see her anywhere since, does that mean fate wise that you blew it? Or is she done stalking you? ?

I saw a man today walking down the road (taking up one lane in a two lane road) carrying a mattress over his head. I stopped and asked him if he needed some help. "Nope", he answered. "If I get tired I'll just lay down and take a nap." He thanked me for offering though and kept right on walking. Every time I think I've seen/heard it all, something new comes along. ~

Sunday, June 6, 2021, 2:41:57 AM- In dreams
There was a campy sci-fi movie back in the 1950s called 'The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman'. I dreamed I saw her and she wanted to have sex with me. So I took off my shoes and walked on in.

Friday, June 4, 2021, 5:47:51 PM- Unreal
I have a friend I've known since I was 6 years old. The other day he told me he had, at age 68, never eaten or taken a bite of bologna. My mouth practically dropped to the floor. I can see not liking bologna. I know a few people who don't. One person moved to Germany for a while several years ago and because money was tight, ate only bologna for the 6 months she was there and now can't stand the sight of it. THAT I can understand. But to never have even sampled it? As a kid, there were two staples of a quick lunch for kids: Peanut butter or bologna sandwiches. It is mind boggling that I know someone my age who has never even tasted bologna. True to my beliefs, I didn't criticize him for that, just cooly suggested he give it a try sometime. I hope he does. Life is too short not to try something new. How else would I have found out how much I like lobster if someone hadn't dared me to try a bite? Life can throw you a curveball every day, so be ready to alter your swing. ~

Thursday, June 3, 2021, 6:14:33 PM- I'd say I don't, but I do
I dreamed I was looking out the window, watching a runaway train swiftly going down the street. It was tearing up the road as it flew along. Meanwhile, I'm safely watching this as I mash cooked potatoes in a pan. Sometimes my imagination even mystifies me. ~

Wednesday, June 2, 2021, 7:06:43 PM- Routine
My day Monday through Friday: Check the news headlines & weather on t.v. Yoga stretches, pushups and hand weights 16 ounce cup of decaf coffee Shower & shave Spend one hour on internet One eight oz. glass of vegetable juice, two tablespoons of honey, one bowl of oatmeal, one eight oz. glass of milk, one apple and one handful of peanuts. Got to work, where I do a lot of walking, sometimes carrying things. Dinner is one sandwich, one small box of raisins, some cheese and crackers and one glass of milk. Back at home, I have two eight oz. glasses of water, watch some t.v. and then go to bed. On the weekends, I eat what I feel like cooking and drink what I want, but not to excess. I feel I've earned it. There you have it - one boring, but semi healthy routine. ~

Tuesday, June 1, 2021, 7:10:51 PM- Options
So I decided to look for a new padded toilet seat today. Like everything else today, there are hundreds of options and colors to choose from. Prices range (from what I saw) from $12.00 to $75.00 I'm not one of those people who think that cost equals quality. My last toilet seat cost me $11.00. I bought it at a discount store and after 6 or 7 years, it's finally showing signs of wearing out - a tiny rip in the seat. So I bought one for $23.00. Not too much, not too little. My last mattress cost me $300.00 from a close out sale and I'm happy with it. It pays to compare. ~

I traveled through three different cemeteries Saturday, putting out flowers on the graves of friends and family. Originally called Decoration Day, Memorial Day is a time (for me) for contemplation at the grave sites of loved ones I've lost over the years. I hope your day today is peaceful and happy. ~
