Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

I stopped drinking. That's not to say I've quit, just stopped. If I quit smoking I'll have no more ancient vices left. But, Every time I think about quitting, I think of Mark Twain. He said that quitting smoking was easy because he had done it thousands of times. Sometimes I am my own worst enemy... with a sense of humor, no less.

I changed the license plates on my new car this morning. When I went to the state BMV, I had intended to transfer the plates from my old car, because I had three more months of use in them before the next set were due in October. Guess what? You can't transfer license plates on line any more. You now have to go to your local BMV to do that and since Covid-19, you have to make an appointment to do any in person business. So I bought next years plates three months early and will be able to use them for 15 months. More bang for my buck and less paperwork. ~

I posted a picture from the 1940's on Facebook yesterday. It was the picture of four kids sitting on the steps of a home. They didn't look unhappy - in fact one is smiling for the camera. There was a sign in the yard which said: Children 4 sale, inquire within. Now me, I thought it was funny. I wrote in the comment section that every parent has felt like doing that at some time, even if it's for but a nano second. It garnered plenty of laughs from my friends, except for one person. This person screamed out in caps for her comment that that was child sex trafficking and not funny at all. I explained that it was just a funny picture from long ago and no one knows if she was serious or not. Nope, she couldn't see the humor. So I deleted her negative comments and moved on. It's too bad we can't delete comments from negative people in real life. ~

"You know the good old days weren't always good and tomorrow ain't as bad as it seems." I experienced a lot of the things Billy Joel sings about in this song. In good times and bad, it's important to keep the faith, baby.

On July 23rd I reported having an Aunt in Florida who had contracted the Covid-19 virus. She passed away August 1st. I will miss our phone conversations, especially her stories about growing up with my Mother. ~

... that some people just like to argue. Case in point: Now that several countries are getting close to a vaccine for the Covid-19 virus, people are already lining up on opposite sides to argue about something that hasn't even happened yet. If I say black, do you automatically have to say white? SMH ~
