Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

Yesterday I said my noisy neighbors are moving. That's the good. Today my nice neighbors across the hall are moving. He is a good guy who works construction, while she is a student who is bright and very easy on the eyes. That's the bad. This afternoon, maintenance is in the apartment across the hall doing light cleanup and fixing anything that needs fixing. Beer bellies and butt cracks. That's the ugly. At least the weather is nice outside.

Wednesday, July 24, 2019, 6:02:08 PM- It never ends
We have an elderly woman at work who cleans the office. She is in her mid-sixties and a petite little lady. Yesterday, she told me in passing that if I ever see her on her knees cleaning to either look the other way or not pass by her. Her reasoning for this rather (to me) odd request? It puts her butt up in the air and she doesn't want to give anyone any ideas. While some people would laugh, I admire the fact that as a senior citizen, she still can maintain a "lady-like" presence. ~

Long before the internet, before Playboy became popular, there were the Pin-up girls, or cheesecake photos. In a time where everyone still used their imagination when thinking of the fairer sex. Give 'em a gander... that's what they're for.

Well, it rained last night and a cold front pushed through with blessed cool Canadian air. I turned off the window fans and the ceiling fans. This is the quietest it's been here in quite a while. I'm loving it!

Sunday, July 21, 2019, 6:00:57 PM- Relief!
After this last heat wave, it sometimes seemed as though relief would never get here. Sometime around 4p.m. today, rain will get here in front of a cool down. Like a sailor who's been out to see for months, then finally gets into port... I feel relief a comin'.

We put a man on the moon in under 8 years. Just think how much we could accomplish if only we could that much brain power to the world's problems today. ~

Friday, July 19, 2019, 6:19:21 PM- Memories
Saturday is the 50th anniversary of man walking on the moon. Seven years before that, this is what I saw on the silver screen: Sure, it's not reality, but it really amped up a 12 year old boy's imagination. ~

Thursday, July 18, 2019, 6:21:13 PM- Lesser of two evils?
Which dream is worse: My old neighborhood has completely changed physically and my sister (who is the straightest-laced person I've ever known) is stumbling around drunk while I try to maneuver first on a bicycle, then a wheelchair and finally walking to get to my parent's house so that I can get my car and get the Hell out of there. or The government has two insane ideas about how to launch a rocket to the moon and I have to decide which is best. ?

Thursday, Friday and Saturday, highs here are expected to be in the mid to upper 90s, with heat indexes approaching 110 degrees. I just thought I'd post this now, in case my computer decides to melt.
