Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

Saturday, October 22, 2022, 6:18:49 PM- Waste not
My parents grew up in the 30s & 40s. They were raised that you didn't waste ANYthing. So, when I bought too much bacon at the grocery, my training has kicked in: Biscuits & gravy (making the gravy with bacon grease). Bacon & eggs. Bacon, lettuce & tomato sandwiches. If there's any bacon left over Monday, bacon will be inserted into my lunch meat sandwiches for work. I'm sure mom will be smiling down from Heaven. ~

On Thursday, I got my tires rotated. When I told people that, they simply asked where I went & how much did it cost. That's the difference between today and when I was a young man. Back then, if you'd said you got your tires rotated, they'd have asked what her name was. ~

As a custodian for over 25 years, I've seen my fair share of messy regurgitation over the years. Projectile vomiting is pretty bad. Spraying leaves a nasty spew that takes a while to clean up. But nothing will prepare you for projectile diarrhea. Luckily I've only been witness to that event once in my career. It is so vile, so nasty, I wouldn't wish an attack of that on my worst enemy. Well, maybe to have them clean it up.

This is what we here in Indiana grew up watching on Friday & Saturday nights: Cheesy horror movies hosted by a cheesy emcee. Yeah, it's one of those things we amused ourselves with before the internet.

For me, this song hits the nail on the head: As the Stones said: You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you just might find, you get what you need. ~

He gave us Jurasic Park and the t.v. show E.R., among many other hits. Way back in 1973, he wrote and directed this classic: We lost a major talent when he passed away. ~

... for every time I was being nice, gave a lady a compliment, then had her act like I was in love with her or wanted just to get in her pants, I could have retired to my own island years ago. The rarity is when I compliment a lady and she accepts the compliment gracefully, without thinking anything untoward from me. Ah well, bad reactions from insecure women won't stop me from staying the course. I am what I am. ~

Friday, October 14, 2022, 2:57:11 AM- Technical difficulties
My computer decided, against my agreement, to download Windows 11 for me. Then, after it took an hour and twenty minutes to download, it decided my computer was not compatible for Windows 11. Another 45 minutes to wipe the download out. This is not the first time my computer has made this decision for me. If I can find the 'how', it won't happen again. This is why it took me so long to blog something today. I apologize if it caused anyone any problems. ~
