Sister V wants to set me up with a friend of a friend of hers. It seems the guy who knows a guy, is moving to Gilroy. She thinks that we should meet. I told her if she gives this friend of a friend my phone number, she should be careful opening up any envelopes missing a forwarding address.

I don't eat fast food and haven't for nearly 8 years now. But today? Today I was craving it. I was on the phone with a friend and I was telling him that I wanted Jack-n-the Box and had no clue why. As I waited for my food, I saw this homeless man and his two dogs walk up and plop down on the grass to rest. He was tired and so were his dogs. I stared at his cracked fingers, his half of a shoe and the love he had for his dogs as he kissed them and cradled them in his lap.

Fate is why I craved Jack-n-the-Box. I was put there to buy this man and his two dogs lunch. As I walked out, I handed the man the lunch ticket and told him that lunch was being made for the three of them. As he thanked me, he began to cry and that made me cry.

Fate. I am a firm believer in it and it is beautiful.

As some of you have noticed in status, I do giggle a bit at the lack of imagination when someone calls me a name. During 25 or more years in my field, don't you think I have heard them all?

Sister V knows that I have laughed over the same basic words (all 3 of them) that angry people call women. So she sent me this e.card

No, I did not flash my boobs, bend over or suck on a pen. Good ideas? Yes. But not very anti sexual harassment based.

All you have to do is start slurping your soup and continue to slurp your soup until all parties have ceased with the childish behaviour. It was a great psychological maneuver. I win!

When I saw it, I busted out with a good laugh.

Walmart, the greediest corporation of all is asking for donations of food from the public in order to feed their employees over the holidays. It seems their employees are having a hard time making ends meet.
Hey, here are a few ideas: I am sure they are getting an ear full of these ideas.
A. Pay your employees enough wages so they can afford more food.
B. Take some of the billions of dollars that your family hides and give them each employee a turkey and trimmings.
C. Stop sending money overseas to further your own gain.
D. Stop being selfish bastards and bastardettes.

This company is horrible! I thought I heard it all when I found out that they were taking life insurance policies out on their elderly employees and raking in the money for the deaths. But asking the public to donate to their employees? How sad.

I admit that I started shopping at Walmart in 2001 but in 2005 I discovered who they were and what they were all about. It was then I decided that they wouldn't get another cent from me. Now I shop at the mom-n-pop stores or small businesses in the area. Sister T was working for Walmart when my Dad died. She was told that she had to return to work after the wake or get fired. Of course she refused and they did fire her.

Sometimes the best of friends are cats and dogs.
Opposites do attract. Different worlds, same love.

Love...it can happen between the oddest of pairs.

During the training meeting, one officer spoke up and asked why he had to attend this course twice a year.

One simple sentence from me clarified it all up for him.
"Do you have a few million dollars to pay an employee if she sues you?"

The training session continued on and no other ass hat questions were asked. Carry on.
