Odd yet delightfully intriguing. Morbid yet very very sweet. Sarcasm is part of who I am.....deal with it.

Saturday, October 5, 2013, 4:58:58 AM- Some foods just bring out the giddy in me.
I walked over to the ice cream shop and bought a double dip Pecan Praline Ice Cream Cone. Eating an ice cream cone puts a kick in my step, can make me hum a lil tune and it puts a big grin on my face. I won't hide it either. That simple pleasure is fantastic. The other food item that takes me back to being a child is a PB&J sammich. When I eat one, I swing my feet at the table and bob my head a bit. There are other foods in which I enjoy because of the simplicity, but I won't bore you. The simple things in life truly are the most endearing and memorable. Even at my age, I will still make myself a PB&J sandwich as if it is a gourmet meal. A PB&J sandwich is more than a sandwich, it is a past full of memories on the playground when I was a little girl. I know that I am not the only goofball who skips and eats an ice cream cone.

Friday, October 4, 2013, 5:47:43 AM- It is the law.
My Brother E, called. One of our friends was arrested for a crime that was committed in 1980. My Bro was on our friends side and thinks that he should be forgiven because our friend has lived as a model citizen since the crime and even went so far as to be a volunteer for inner city youths. E thinks that our friend should not be charged. Of course to me, a crime is a crime. Accidental shooting or not. A crime was committed and our friend ran and hid out for years. Once his false identity was discovered and he was found by the police, he was arrested. It was the official thing to do. Our friend will now have the trial he should have had in 1980. My brother is angry because I think the arrest was warranted. Now that I know where my friend is and how to contact him, I will reach out and say hello and give moral support during his trial. I have no clue how it will end, but it is due. At the age of 18 years he accidentally killed another 18 year old. The time has come for him to face his demons and face the law. I wish him well. My brother will eventually come around.

Some of you may recognize this as one of Guitars sketches. I asked him to send it to me because I envisioned it as an oil painting. What I did was cut it down, apply come art adhesive and attached it to an oil painting canvas. You cannot see the canvas as well as I can, but trust me, it looks as if he did this in oil paints. 2nd Step: Spray a layer of non acidic semi gloss in order to keep the sketch from fading. 3rd Step: Find the perfect wood, measure and cut a personal frame befitting such a beautiful drawing. It will not be framed under glass because I want it to have the allure and texture as if it was done with a brush. I couldn't wait for the final step and got impatient. So here it is in the beginning stages. My creations are the reason I am going to be late with the blog challenge. I get lost in the things that pop into my head. Besides immersing myself in my work, I also get lost in my imagination of things I want to make and hobbies. Maybe that is why I don't date?....lol

I told all of you how Sis M knows that I do not like creepy cats. She sent me this beauty. Cats are my one downfall. What a big weenie she is! Getting me back for the needle to the eye gifs. She has some nerve sending me this. Well, I cannot let her get away with this. I thought long and hard. I can't get her back with another ugly eye pic or a snake pic. She will be expecting that. Sis M lives all alone in a 2 story, 4 bedroom house. I think that this one will scare the grey hair right out of her undies. *que evil music* No one gets one over on me. bwaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahhaahahha

LEGO used to restore ancient Egyptian sarcophagus Fitzwilliam Museum's unique Lego solution is the talk of America GMA News Online: Wednesday, Sept 18, 2013 It looks like LEGO is about to be ranked up there with the Swiss Army knife, after it helped archaeologists restore a 3,000-year-old mummy case to its former shape. "The mummy case was found in the Ramesseum at Thebes in 1896. The gilded wooden face had been torn out by robbers and the mummy removed" Archaeologists said. Exposure to damp conditions also caused structural problems along with cracking and instability in the painted decoration. Enter LEGO: With help from the University of Cambridge's Department of Engineering final-year student David Knowles, they built a frame to suspend Hor face-down while the reshaping was carried out. Archaeologists used LEGO to conserve the cartonnage, a linen papier mache, by building frames to support the delicate case during conservation and a new display case with internal supports. It worked! The LEGO is made of material that would not interfere with the delicate materials of the sarcophagus. Six light structures made from the plastic brick were placed inside the chest cavity. "They are adjustable using screw threads, and are padded with archival foam where they are in contact with the ancient surface," Patheos said. The result? A sarcophagus restored to its former glory, with an internal LEGO support system, Gizmodo noted. "This is just further proof that there is literally nothing that LEGO can't do," Patheos said. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is next for LEGO? This is so cool!
