Odd yet delightfully intriguing. Morbid yet very very sweet. Sarcasm is part of who I am.....deal with it.

Friday, May 24, 2013, 5:55:08 AM- What a day! Spend it with me in the quiet seaside heaven of San Clemente
I didn't give you anytime to rest. As soon as I got my bikini and board shorts on, we were off to the beach. First stop was the best taco stand in the world. Pedro's Tacos. Freshly made hard shell tacos and carnitas meat so greasy, the grease acts as another food group! We bought some to take down to the sand with us for a tiny picnic After we walked to the beach, it was time to kick back after scarfing down about 6 tacos. How many did you have?...lol. Aaahhhh just watching the waves is heavenly. Don't rest for too long. The seashore is not only great to sit on, but I think going for a walk along it is just as peaceful. The shore is rocky and full of pebbles, so wear some flip flops. If your feet get to hot, then I suggest that we walk a bit in the cool salt water. It works wonders on the comfort of the souls. Inside and out. Hi Everyone! No bikini anymore. I brought along my favorite sundress. What would you wear? After the beach, it was back to the room to wash the sand and salt water off of my body. It was time to get dressed and head out again. This time to Del Mar Street. You won't regret the walk. I promise. I hope no one is tired. We are walking over to Del Mar Street. It is the main street where everyone goes to stroll and window shop. The sun is beginning to set but it is still warm out. The funny thing about the sky out here, when the sun sets the sky can turn a soft lavender. Now you see why I love this area. Peaceful walks and beautiful skies along the shore. I am hungry! We end our day at a small cafe that serves one hell of a spaghetti plate and fresh garlic bread that they buy from the bakery up the street. I have a nice zin with my dinner and topped it all off with one of my favorite desserts of Tiramisu. Of course I like my Tiramisu better, but this was just as great..lol Like Monterey, this lil town has everything within walking distance. I am beat after such a long day. A day that was for me. Let's go rest and watch a movie....for tomorrow I am back on the road. In the morning I head back to see my oldest son for his birthday. Huntington Beach here I come!!!

Thursday, May 23, 2013, 7:37:31 PM- On the road again! Guess where now?
I gave my youngest son and his girlfriend a kiss this morning and headed out to my next destination. Here I am driving towards the San Clemente Hills. A gorgeous tiny city along the coast. I am so close! Anddddddddddddddd I have arrived! Hills on one side and a serene beach community on the other. This is where I am heading as soon as I get my bikini on. I miss this beach like the dickens. I spent a number of years here and it feels nice to think of the memories. There are no friends to see, no sons to visit until tomorrow, so right now....I have my board shorts on and a towel in my hand....I am off to walk down to the beach. You can come along...the more the merrier.

Wednesday, May 22, 2013, 7:29:42 AM- Sing it with me! "On the road again" lalalala
I left the rocky hills of Escondido and bid "see ya soon" to A and her lil clan. It was a relaxing time taking care of her two wee ones. Man I am such a Mommy! lol. Diapers, 2 am feedings, poopie diapers....lol. A. and I had late night giggles after they all went to bed. I already miss her. So long rocky hills... And hello to the spectacular pool that my former patrol partner built. He does this kind of thing as a side business. It was just the right temperature and lordy did I spend the entire two days in it! [img] [/img] There I was, just me. What is that I hear? Nothing but birds and the singing of butterflies and bees and the trickling of a waterfall. After laughing about old times and the shit we used to do on duty...it was time to leave the mountain top villa in Yorba Linda. See the house up there? That is my patrol partner giving me the bird because I wrote a message of "thank you for the hospitality" in red lipstick on his bathroom mirror. I arrived in Santa Ana today. My #2 son and his girlfriend were still at work, so I made a b-line to guess where? The gates of heaven.......... lol....I will hit Bloomingdales tomorrow. I could have taken pictures of anything else in Santa Ana, But this was my first stop. I will be here with my son for two days, then who knows where I will go until I see the #1 son. You will just have to be surprised! Hopefully I can take some time soon so I can view and comment on the blog challenge pics. Toodles for now!

Monday, May 20, 2013, 3:01:50 AM- Last day with my best friend and the God Kids.
Loving the pool! I sat on the side, feet in the cool water. I watched my god daughter as she tried to do backward flips in the water. Of course I was enjoying the dickens out of her tenacity. As you can see she is wearing floaties. I tried to tell her that she could not go under the water with the floaties on. You cannot convince a 3 year old child of this. So all she kept doing was nearly drowning herself. Her head went under the water but that was it. Kids..........they keep you laughing. Then I treated A and her hubs to my yummy deep friend jalapeno chicken wings with a side of fresh coleslaw and bbq beans. It felt good to cook again for others. I do miss cooking for everyone. Tomorrow I hit the road again. It is time to visit my brothers and sisters at my former department. Still no time to read blogs. It is time to read the kiddos a book before bed time. I hope everyone is having fun.

Saturday, May 18, 2013, 5:53:31 PM- Not much sleep.
After taking my time and just ramblin along enjoying the drive from Monterey to San Diego, I made it to my best friends house. I was able to see my god children for a bit before they went off to bed, chatted with Nurdle (A's hubs) and then A and I sat up until 0200 giggling. Finally I fell asleep on the couch. A short time later I felt a presence in the darkness...a creepy feeling, an intruder maybe?. No....but close. I opened my eyes and in the darkness....just inches from my face, this is what I saw! FREAKED ME OUT! Simon? Simon? Blink your eyes! He just sat there at eye level, looking at me. He didn't even blink when I reached for the phone to take a pic. I think Simon needs to be locked in the bathroom tonight.....just for my safety. No time to read blogs. I am off to the pool with A and the kids.

Saturday, May 18, 2013, 7:34:02 AM- Traveling with Tighty (part 2)
After we leave the pampered cattle, it is time to hit the road. This is what's ahead of us. Three hours of a two lane road up along the Highway 1 mountains. This is one of the most breathtaking drives in California, but also one of the most dangerous. I will tell you about the accident later. Let's not spoil out drive I promised you the elephant seals of San Simeon, well here they are. This area is 5 miles of nothing but thousands of seals and their cubs. All these females seals do is eat, swim and wait for the Bull Seals to come and fuck them. That is it! Oh, and to provide food for the Great Whites. No Zebras today. Bummer. Just a hope skip ad a jump from San Simeon is Morro Bay. This is the famous Morro Bay Rock. It was discovered in the 1500's. The rock is surrounded by natural fisheries is a protected area due to the hawks, eagles and the protected Perigrin Falcons. It isn't called a rock because there it isn't compried of any dirt, soil or grass so therefore it is called a rock. The biggest historical rock in California. Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas anymore. I went from a two lane peaceful cove to a six lane traffic jam. After a 10 hour drive of coastal wonders, I am now in Los Angeles and heading for Huntington Beach. Thank you for coming with me.

Friday, May 17, 2013, 8:57:41 PM- Adventures and Traveling with Tighty.
We begin our journey by saying "see ya in a week" to the coves of Monterey. No worries, I will return. We soon find ourselves a top the cliffs of Big Sur. I promise that the drive is full of lush emerald green pine trees, oak trees and off to the right nothing but blue waters and mind boggling boulders. If you are driving, don't stare too long. Yu will go off of the cliff. That would hurt! Let's stop and take in the local live stock along the coast. How spoiled are these cows? Tasty alfalfa to eat and a view to die for. I snuck up on this one by crawling through the bushes. I love cows! That is one of the things I miss about Texas. Hanging out with the cows. This is the one of Californias Marine Biology Centers and Observatories. There is a Great White Shark birthing area out a few miles. How lucky are they to have cameras under water and can monitor them? They also track the Whale Migrations and various other marine life. I would love to have one little peak inside of this compound. So far the trip has been slow moving and comfortable. We are off to the shores of San Simeon to see the Elephant Seals and possible some Zebras if we are lucky. Yes, I said Zebras. The Hearst Castle owns the Elephant Seal Protection area and across the street is the animal wild life. How cool! Zebras on one side and seal on the other.
