Hello gang,

Apologies my friends for disappearing on you again without warning. I can assure you I have had a daily intention to blog and let you know I was alright. But anyone who knows me also knows I am full of good intentions.

I dont think I have had a full day at home now for almost four weeks. I have been out first thing then back after dinner and feeling far too shattered to turn this on. When I did I was so overwhelmed at how busy my email inbox was, I didnt dare take alook at my nn inbox. I panicked at how many mails I would have to send to reassure people I am alive and you all know how crap my typing skills are so I blanked them which sounds dreadful, ignorant and I am sorry for that my friends.

I have been mostly helping others everyday with one thing and another which really makes me feel good. I had my first free stay in your jarmie day yesterday I admit I just sat on my backside watching DVD's and I was a complete slob. Today I am helping to clean up my local Canal the Lancaster Canal~[url]http://canalrivertrust.org.uk/canals-and-rivers/lancaster-canal[/url] and Haslem park which is in the area I live~ [url]http://ashtononribble.com/joomla/[/url] This clean up is in preparation for a big Canal Boat festival to be held next weekend. Its part of the celebrations for the Preston Guild... [url]http://prestonguild2012.com/[/url] the Preston Guild only comes round once every twenty years, about the same length of time it takes me to get a decent shag!! I am happy when I am busy, but it has been too busy with me to be honest, I feel compelled to help friends when they are in need, they come to my aid often enough and I also struggle with saying the word no. I am so in need of sometime at home in my yarden. I have some news about my yarden I will share in my next blog, I simply wanted to let you know I am ok for now with this one.

I see a certain person has once again been gagged and as yet we do not not know for what crime. I had thought things might be different around here when I returned, guess we are all still banging our heads against that wall and I am disappointed but not in the slightest surprised.

A tune for you you wont like and not when its 15mins long!! Its funky I assure you and anyone can move to it trust me!! Lol I have my friend Noongah on my mind with this one, I miss that manky Sheep. Hello gang I have to apologise yet again for making some of you worry with my unannounced absence. I just went off to stay with my besty Helen at her house, my country retreat for a few days to be ill and recharge the old batteries. I should be back playing with you all in the morning (oh I wish I really could)!! Once again, I shall have to do some blog reading see how you all are and catch up with you all. THANK YOU so very very much to all of you who have got intouch with concern, I am extremely humbled.

This is where we spend a great deal of time when we are together, just sat under the porch. Its blissful listening to the pair of Tawny Owls that roost in the wood chatting to one another and watch the Pipistrelle Bats at dusk which also reside within the Tree's....

I am still suffering with this blinking cold, I have had a constant sore throat and a hideous sinus headache, despite the continued nose blowing!!! I am a smoker though which is undoubtedly why its taking so long to piss off!!! I hope to find some of you tomorrow, thank you once again to everyone who got intouch and I apologise once again too for not giving you prior warning or even asking permission lol. I have been wanting to post some 'normal pictures' for you for yonks, but I have been perplexed has to how to resize, despite lots of help from my nn tech head friends lol. So here you go, some shots I took from my pre dawn walk down the river last month!!! lol
It was pretty dark when I got down there (it was 3.45am) As you can surmise from this first picture of the boat yard and dock gates.



This is the view from the main dock gate entrance looking west towards the estuary mouth and the Irish sea.


Finally, one of a few sun ray shots I got, Sun shine over Preston now there is a rare sight indeed for the past three months it has been incessant rain ( I love how the sun rays hit the river bank ahead of me.

At last!! I have cracked this re sizing malarkey, although the above shots are slightly too small and dont do the shots justice. But I am happy for now and your going to be even more sick of seeing my name in blogs from now on lol )))))

If you were around yesterday you will have seen my status about inadvertently aiding a Crane Flies premature death by Damsel fly. they only live for a short time anyway, some for just 24 hours, the prime objective is to mate then die. I was trying to take a picture of said Crane fly and moved a leaf to get a better shot (he/she was so beautiful) As I did so, the crane fly took off and then Danny damsel was on it like a shot (such fast killing machines)He then munched away at the Crane fly eating it. I then went out a couple of hours later and found the crane fly. The only thing left was its head and two long legs, but the thing was still very much alive!! I couldnt believe it, I had to put it out of its misery witha large rock. To be honest, I dont kill anything at all ever, I felt dreadful. I wish I knew an entomologist who could explain how this Crane fly was still moving despite its body being eaten up. Anyway here is the only picture I have of the sad little creature still wriggling around in my hand, not very clear but you get the idea.. (

I am pretty excited about this, for the past few years I have had a resident male Scarce Blue Tailed Damsel Fly living in my yarden. as the name suggests, they are rather scarce lol. I apologise though, my new camera's zoom doesnt match my last camera's zoom, so they are not that sharp. I do have a water butt and an old flower trough I have let fill with rain water they prefer still water and are very interesting little creatures, spending up to two years as nymphs living under the water, to then emerge as an adult and maybe live for just a year afterwards...

I just had to share with you my excitement at doing something right in my yarden to encourage such a beautiful insect to stay with me. I think the Scarce Blue-tailed Damselfly are one of the most enigmatic and interesting of all our British damselfly species. ))))))
