Sorry to hear the BM21 has shingles. I had a case once and it felt like these were piercing my scalp. I hate to go on the deck with those hanging overhead. Even though they are small they look lethal. And Veebs...all thermometers are not created equal. Note ours stops at 80 (just the dark part of the dial) but goes down to Minus 40. Thats what I'm talkin about!

I am sad about Heath Ledger. His performance in brokeback was remarkable. It's sad. I am tired of social economists using the saying " a rising tide raises all ships" BULLSHIT....what if you don't have a boat or fuel . At the end of the day a 4.50 gallon of milk is harder to buy for the working poor than for Warren Buffet. I took some great pictures the other day. I'm too lazy to download them. I might even have one for someones upcoming birthday! Well, I'm at lunch....so....back to work.

Of the unemployed NN'ers. I just found out about an hour ago and I am still in shock. There are some internal options available but..... Trying hard to be thankful for this. But if I am trying to live in a spirit of thankfulness it means the good the bad and the ugly. Thankful????

Sunday, January 6, 2008, 3:39:28 PM- Gads
stayed at the farm last night and woke up at 2 to the strangest noise. I listened to it for a while and fell back asleep. I woke up about an hour later and it was even louder. After much thought I determined it was a noise not often heard in January in northern Wisconsin. It was massive amounts of snow melting off the roof! I looked at the thermometer and it was 38 degrees! At 4 am! This has me worried. I have to get a roof rake and get the snow off the machine shed roof. If we get any rain it would soak the snow up there and endanger all my friends boats stored inside. People up here are very fond of their boats. It would ruin several friendships. Happy sunday
