Signed adoption papers Saturday, yesterday was microchip, shots and neutering, today the new kid came home.

Girlfriend called me last night almost in tears. One of her neighbors decided to turn his dog loose because no matter how much he tried, the dog would not fight or act aggressive. She and another neighbor got the dog and kept him until animal control could show up. The one neighbor is now under investigation for animal cruelty and abuse....the poor dog had a 50 lb. logging chain padlocked to his collar. Dog is at the shelter (until we pick him up Saturday) and with any luck the asshole owner will be in jail. This guy was just to friendly to not adopt....

Piglet kept taking her black collar off and leaving it on the floor. Bought her a new collar last night. Had to go up a size....and now she's a princess wearing pink.

I know, I'm a day late....but I just saw this and had to share it...

We're now down to one puppy left from the litter my girlfriend took in back in February. Miss Willow was adopted by one of the g/f's friends; she went to her new home Sunday. Word is she's already spoiled rotten. Winston was supposed to go to his new home the same day but his new family had an unexpected vet bill for their older dog, so they pick him up this weekend. The manager at a local restaurant happened to see pics on my phone last Saturday night and mentioned that his wife was wanting a puppy. We sent photos of the 3 available boys and she wanted to see the brown puppy....problem is, two are brown. My girlfriend took both pups to meet the family tonight and the wife fell in love with both Wyatt and Jack...so she adopted both of them. Now all we need is a home for Sampson....poor little guy is gonna be missing his playmates.

Now...how many of you read that and heard Barney singing the words?
