It's a nice sunny day...perfect for walking the dogs. The new pup made it just past the neighbors mailbox, then turned around and headed back to the house. She went straight to my truck and stared at the passenger door......



....so of course she got to go for a ride.

Got the puppy dog eyes when I started to leave....so someone got to go to the bank with me....

Slowly getting the new kid adjusted to walking on a leash. Today we ventured out of the yard and walked down the road. She's getting better already....she doesn't pull on the leash and she listens when you tell her to come on...





....but here is her opinion of my dads mailbox. Caught her in mid yawn...lol

Found out more backstory on miss Queenie today. The g/f's landlord came by the house Queenie was at looking for her owners and called animal control when she noticed the dog. My girlfriend just happened to be going to check on Queenie when the dog catcher arrived. After seeing that she was being cared for, he didn't pick her up...but he told my g/f that we could not take her. The landlord then showed up again with the news that Queenies owner was in jail for assault and that his g/f had just vanished. There were several thug looking neighbors standing around watching (waiting to steal Queenie, I'm sure), so the animal control officer declared her "abandoned" and loaded her in his truck. He then drove two blocks away where Queenie was transferred to my girlfriends truck. She is at the local vet office being boarded for the night after getting her vaccinations...we have to find a different kennel to board her at after Thursday because the vet was booked. Hopefully I can get things arranged and have her home by Friday afternoon!

The more humans I meet, the more I detest the human race. A couple moved in next to my g/f about 2 months ago. He has a beautiful blue-nose pit bull named Queenie. She's timid and was a bit underweight....found out that dipshit wasn't feeding her regularly and his g/f wouldn't feed her at all. For the last two weeks, neither one of them has been home...found out that the power and water have even been disconnected at the house. Worse, the bastard left Queenie locked in the shed. My g/f has been feeding her and trying to find a rescue group to come get her. After the last rescue fell through, there was a change of plans. As soon as I can fence in more of my yard, Queenie is coming to my house.
