Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

Bruce Campbell plays Elvis, alive and in a nursing home. Ossie Davis is (?) JFK. Together they battle monsters: Did I mention Ossie Davis is black? Truly a hoot and a half!

Friday, May 15, 2020, 6:48:03 PM- I'm stimulated
Friday is payday and keeping with the way things are done in the 21st century, I have an app to keep track of my payroll. I was recently off work for a week (May 27th - June 1st) and I was wondering if I was going to be paid for the time off without having to file for unemployment. Today I received confirmation. My boss took advantage of the stimulus package and I have been payed. Now that I know I will be paid in the future for time off from work, my mind is at ease... and I'm kinda looking forward to my next 'vacation'.

If you like the Beatles, give the REO brothers a listen: Their rendition of this song is flawless. And remember while you're listening, that the Beatles did this in a studio with a ton of sound effects at their disposal.

I had a dream last night that I was Jewish. This time, I'm pretty sure I know the basis of this journey into my subconcious. Yesterday was a good friend of mine from high school's birthday. A great guy and the first Jewish person I had ever met. There weren't a lot of Jewish people in my little town. He fit none of the stereotypes I had seen or heard of beforehand. Just a regular guy. His mother, on the other hand, was fairly typical of what I'd heard. lol We talked online for a while and I'm sure that was the basis for my late night imagination. Funny how the mind works. Oy vey!

Monday, May 11, 2020, 6:26:36 PM- Oops!
I opened up a can of worms with my mail carrier today. I made an order on Thursday and was informed (via email) that said package would be delivered Sunday. So I waited until around 3:00 pm, then checked online to track my package. Somehow, even with me occasionally looking out my window that faces the road, the postal carrier couldn't deliver my package, citing my 'front door/driveway' was inaccessible. Today I waited for my regular postal carrier. I delayed my routine by a half hour so that I could be at the front door when he arrived, which he did a few minutes later than usual (it is Monday, after all). We exchanged brief pleasantries as he handed me my package. He turned to go back to his mail truck and that's when I did it. I said: "You know, this was supposed to be delivered yesterday." His eyebrows shot up in a questioning look. I was prepared to tell him I had waited a good portion of the day for something that didn't happen. That's when he started a rather 'colorful' rant about part-time workers, or 'weekend warriors' as he called them. Of course, I poured fuel on his fire by telling him I had checked online and that the reason my package wasn't delivered was that the person couldn't access my front door. Yikes! Even 'bluer' language poured out. Finally, he apologized profusely and left me stating that this would be reported to his supervisor. I watched him drive away, thinking about how someone was about to get, if nothing else, a good tongue lashing. I also made a mental note to try to make sure that I arrange future deliveries for any day... except Sunday. ~

Sunday, May 10, 2020, 7:08:23 PM- Still true
I saw a cartoon in the newspaper (yes, I still read them) the other day. Basically it said that our future is in front of us, but we can't see it. And our past is behind us and we can see that. Goes right along with what I've been saying since I was 19 years old: Hindsight is 20/20, foresight is foggy at best. Yes, you can quote me.

States like mine are starting to 'open up' a little. And right along with that, the price of petrol here has jumped 50 cents a gallon... even though I haven't noticed an increase in traffic.

I've already seen on the news in a couple of states where bars have tried to open against orders. They have been shut down and the owners arrested. Seems like a fitting penalty... put those who act like they're not afraid of a little virus in a crowded jail for awhile.

I have two t.v.'s in my living room. One is a smart t.v. hooked up to my at&t Uverse DVR. The other is a Firetv hooked up to a regular antenna. With the Uverse t.v., I have over 400 channels. With the Firetv, I have all my local channels, plus a butt load of apps for t.v. shows and movies. This one is in case I lose my Uverse connection. I go to work and go home. I go to the grocery or get gas and go home. If I need exercise, I do pushups, lift hand weights and go for long, solitary walks. Screw this Coronavirus. I am covered and content. ~
