Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

If not for the cost of replacing it, I sometimes would like to pick up my computer and smash it. Thankfully, a cooler head has won out.

Everywhere I went today I had to wait - On traffic, in line and even at the bloody bank. There was a time when I would have become peeved. Any more, I use it as an excuse to people watch. Sometimes ya gotta look a bit for that silver lining, but it's there. ~

40 mph winds to day, gusting higher. I'm thinking about taking a big sheet of plastic outside to see where the wind blows me. ~

When you get to be an old codger like me, some of the ancient jokes become reality: 'I'm now like Kellogg's Rice Krispies - Every time I move, something either snaps, crackles, or pops.' Sad but true.

Wednesday, May 18, 2022, 5:52:50 PM- Tea v coffee
I like coffee. From the time I was a boy, I would sneak sips of my parents' coffee. They would start on a second cup after dinner, then half way through they would tell me to take their cups to the kitchen to empty and set in the sink to be washed later. Dad liked his coffee with cream. Nope, too sweet for me. Mom liked hers black with a little sugar. Ah, just the right amount of bitter and sweet. In high school I lived on coffee and cigarettes, not eating lunch so that I could save my lunch money for the weekends. By the time I was out of school, my daily intake of coffee had risen to a pot or two of coffee every day. Trouble then came physically. My body started telling me to cut out the caffeine. Whenever I would drink even half a cup I would start getting chest pains from heartburn. So I sadly gave it up. Now I drink decaf. Every day. Two cups in the morning. It's a ritual. I may have had to give up caffeine, but I can't give up the taste. I like tea. I prefer iced tea to hot tea. I have a 16 oz. mug of tea every Sunday, half regular and half green tea. I know that green tea is good for me, so I mix a bag in with the regular. One of the mysteries of life is knowing that tea has more caffeine in a cup than coffee has, and yet I get no heartburn from drinking tea. Whatever, right? Somethings you just can't figure out... you just learn to live with them. ~

Tuesday, May 17, 2022, 6:30:49 PM- Pics, pics, pics
Whenever I exchange emails with an old friend or family member, they usually ask for pictures. I have quite the library: Family, friends, old historical pictures of my hometown, celebrities and funny pics i find to share with people on FB. It takes me longer to sift through pictures to attach on emails than it does to write an email. lol Such is my life - collecting and sharing. ~

Monday, May 16, 2022, 6:23:28 PM- No more ripping!
I found a small paper shredder online, cost was around $40.00. The reason it took so long to find one was that companies were asking to much for the cross cut model I wanted. I ordered it, I got it and right away used it. I'm always receiving junk mail from people wanting me to buy something I either don't want or don't need. Usually I would open the mail, tear out anyplace that had my name & address on it, then rip those into little pieces before depositing in my trash. No more! Now I just plug in the shredder, turn it on and feed everything to be cut into little pieces. Ah, how I love the sound of my life being made simpler.

I hadn't thought of Clark, the talking dog for awhile, but then I read online about a world Record Great Dane and his coloring reminded me of Clark. Still makes me chuckle.
