Odd yet delightfully intriguing. Morbid yet very very sweet. Sarcasm is part of who I am.....deal with it.

Crest is going to start selling it's new toothpaste. The flavors will be; Chocolate, Lime and Vanilla. The product management team and the CEO feel that these new flavors will get kids to happily brush their teeth and do it more often. WHAT? I don't envision kids brushing at all. I foresee thousands of kids getting sick to their tummies from sucking down entire tubes of toothpaste. I am not going to try this product. I don't want to feel like I have to brush my teeth after brushing my teeth..lol. Plus it is kind of odd to brush my teeth with sugar and chocolate to get rid of the sugar and chocolate. And if I remember correctly, Crest tried this a few years back with vanilla mint and they failed miserably. Why are they repeating a failure? Will you try it?

Cpt: We are out of paperclips. Me: Why are you telling me? Do I look like the paperclip fairy Cpt: You do look like an angel. Me: An Angel is used for getting the reports out on time, not a fairy. Cpt: Where do the fairies work? Elton John? Ooops, scratch that. I don't want another complaint. Me: No worries. I didn't have the recorder on. 1. How do you teach a dinosaur a new trick? 2. Can an old timer set in his ways be Politically Correct? Answers: 1. You can't. 2. No. I do admit that I can be on the fence about being politically correct. I also know that at times, it can get waaaaaaaaaaaaay out of control.

Monday, January 27, 2014, 5:10:42 AM- Kiss Me
Kiss me....breathe life into my body. Kiss me....warm my lips and heart. Kiss me....look into my eyes and soul. Kiss me....let me fall into your arms. Kiss me....pick me up and lay me down. Kiss me....just me. He brings smiles when I hear him speak. I want to take his hand and kiss his cheek. To feel his skin under my finger tips. To hold his face and kiss his lips. This is how love can begin. To kiss him deeper as I let him in. Love grows as warm as summer rain. Dreams come true as I kiss him again. We speak of love and you kiss my face. I am home within his strong embrace. Just my musings on a cool and peaceful Sunday evening.

Sunday, January 26, 2014, 5:35:00 AM- Moments
People, nature, life, work and unforeseen incidents catch my eye. My Dad always told me that if I carried a camera or a recorder with me everyday, I could fill rooms with everything I photograph or create with words. At the end of my day I strolled along the Asilomar Shores. The sunset was covered by the incoming fog and the tide was rising. The beach visitors were settling in for bonfires and the surfers were heading home. And there I was.....watching everyone around me. So many moments to choose from. So many moments that others were sharing, yet none of them knew they were being captured for my memories. Their smiles, their laughter and their speechless gestures towards one another were being recorded in my mind and through my camera. Nothing pleases me more than observing everything around me. At times it could be one certain thing and other times, multiple actions that coincide with one another. Those perfect moments that come together in harmony are rare. Here is one of those moments. The fog rolling in as the surfers roll on home. Tranquility and Friendship. Capturing this moment was my pleasure.

A Lieutenant said to me "You know, it has been a few weeks since you have been hurt. Not even a jammed knee into the desk, a paper cut or stabbing yourself in the cheek with a pen. What's up with that?" Don't say that to me!!! I have enough trouble keeping myself safe. I don't need the spirits after me...lol. Why do I feel the need to cover myself in bubble wrap. I don't even feel like using forks tonight while eating dinner.

Thursday, January 23, 2014, 4:45:19 AM- The tiniest hero.
There are many men and women who can be counted as heroes. But how often can you read or hear about one little child, who, at the age of just 8 years old can be counted as a man? This story has touched me all day long. And even though my own troubles were weighing on my mind, little Tyler and his heroics snapped me back to reality. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NY town mourns brave 8-year-old who died saving six people from trailer fire. Lynette Adams of NBC station WHEC' of Rochester, N.Y., reports. By M. Alex Johnson, Staff Writer, NBC News On Wednesday, a New York town was grieving the death of an 8-year-old boy who's credited with saving the lives of six people in a roaring trailer fire, only to lose his own life when he went back in to try to rescue his disabled uncle and grandfather. "I've cried so much. I've cried so much it just doesn't seem real," said Crystal Vrooman, the mom of Tyler Doohan, who died Monday morning after the trailer where he was staying overnight went up in flames. "It's just so hard," Vrooman told NBC station WHEC of Rochester on Wednesday. "I'm never going to see him again." Tyler, a fourth-grader at East Rochester Elementary School, didn't have class on Monday — a holiday — so he was sleeping over with several other people at his grandfather's trailer in Penfield, a suburb of Rochester. The trailer caught fire about 4:45 a.m. ET, probably because of an electrical problem, the Penfield Fire Company said. Tyler went through the smoke filled and heavily flamed trailer and was able to wake six people — including two other kids, ages 4 and 6 — who all made it out alive, relatives and fire investigators said. But then Tyler went back in to try to help his uncle Steven Smith, who used a wheelchair because he'd lost part of a leg. The bodies of Tyler, Smith, 54, and Tyler's grandfather Louis Beach, 57, were found in the rubble of the trailer. Fire investigators said Tyler was found just a few feet from Smith's bed. At the young age of 8 years old, you achieved what some adults take years to do or struggle to find, and that is manhood. You have earned a place in history beside great men and women of courage, those of great bravery, stories that are told time and time again. In just a matter of minutes, at such a young age, life's greatest test was given and passed. Many of us wonder what our souls hold if we are faced with fear or if we can rise to the occasion and risk our own lives in order to help those in desperate need. As a small child you saw in your soul, a man. You bravely went before the trial of what measures a man and passed with flying colors. Tyler, you lost your life as you became an adult at the age of 8. Rest in peace little hero.

Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 7:45:44 AM- How long can a Mother in Law resent the woman who married her son?
Sister T is already having trouble with her mother in law. I laugh because she really did think it was going to be a walk in the park. Her Mother in Law has never cared for her. This is the same woman who didn't stand up and join in the toast at Sister T's wedding. And the very same woman who (at the birth of her grand babies) told my bro in law that he did a good job....lol. She even wears black at my sisters wedding anniversary parties. This woman still thinks that after 4 kids ranging in ages from 25 to 33, the marriage is going to fail....lol What a loon! After years of abuse from this woman, I was shocked that my sister agreed to move in with her. The mother in law told Sister T that she was not allowed to cook in the kitchen because her son (bro in law) cannot live on my sisters cooking. I give my sister kudos for telling this old bitty "If your son can't live on my food, then where did his 200 pound weight gain come from? You can't gain that much weight on oral sex" Good for T!!! It hasn't even been a week and the claws are out! My money is on the 90 year old woman. Sister T may have age on her and one point so far, but that tiny old woman from Costa Rica has been through hell surviving the leftist guerillas when she was a little girl growing up in her village. I think it would be a good idea to start a bail fund. Some one just may end up getting hurt...lol
