Hiya..
Well we got a two hour Winter yesterday....lol...started when I was mucking and feeding the animals and wow...high winds..really cold...then real actual snowflakes.....amazing cuz we have seen so little of that! Well it lasted about 2 hrs.....lol....then back up to the 40's and we get so frustrated....Spring weather but ya can't do Spring stuff.....bummer!

Was kinda low yesterday with what I know is the politics of the age....ya....the religious right is making headway again with the latest appointment to the Supreme Court......and for those who care about such things its the beginning of a step back to the dark ages and sexual repression. Does anyone Really think that the President would appoint someone who supports choice or leave this right alone....what fools they are to buy into that.....Well at least I can say that I lived in a time when I saw our right to choose become a reality and then watched as that right was slowly washed away ... one day we will look back and wonder how it all happened...Politics....Yukkkk....

When we lived in Montana we were politically active....so we have seen how it works in a very personal way.....I remember supporting a change in Montana's malicious intimidation law....( a hate crimes law ) and fighting to include gender and orientantion...and remember so well how a House Committee not only voted it down but then voted to eliminate the law altogether....the law was saved on the Senate floor but the message was very clear.....I remember standing among our Pride friends in the Capitol Rotunda and singing with our heads down....single people, couples of all genders, and families.....it was a moment I shall never forget and one that showed me what politics really is.....and was the very last time I ever participated in the "system".

The above was my "state of the union message"......lol.....

Gotta run and feed.....and watch the sun come up and speak paulines name...perhaps it will bring her some of our sunshine....I hope so...

Time has a way of healing things and so does support from other NN members so I guess ya could say I'm over it....I got to express myself and dump the anger and hey we all need that once in a while....Like Bob said...the "toads" all end up smashed on the road eventually and I know he is right...But I am giggling along with pauline cuz the comment about what swingers look like is a Gem....lol...a true Gem! Only those who have been in the lifestyle really can appreciate that pearl of wisdom and when I saw that I just about pissed myself laughing....can you imagine me doing that.....LOL....

So yesterday NN was goofed up somehow and I had two entries of the same blog...so I just removed the other one...guess some kind of net problem was goin on.....but in a way it was good cuz i got to spend more time doin some slabbing with my rock saw and wow I'm getting good...my saw is small but its just way fun to cut a rock and see whats inside, the colors often surprise me and thats exciting! now that I have that part down Im going to try to actually shape the slabs into designs.

Last nite we all went to town and had pizza... and on the way in we were listening to the 60's channel on the sat. radio and we had such fun cuz they have Wolfman Jack on.....what a kick...reminded us of the awesome moviw American Graffiti....so we got the dvd out when we got home and watched it....so amazing how those actors in that movie all did so well in their careers...and we got to thinking...the movie was all about just one night....it was so cool....

Well another week...this will be a short one tho as we are going to close up Friday at noon and drive to a meeting in Casper for the weekend...will be fun to get a road trip in and a nice break...

Wow what a week...and I feel bad cuz I havent had much free time to blog and stay in touch....life can be like that when your self employed and wow we have just been working Lots. Last week I think we left at our usual closing time once...but when the work needs doin ya just pull up your socks and do it. And wow have we been doin it....lol....but out here its just jumping with activity in the oil and gas business and that really has been good for us but wow bad for the bod....lol....ie...I ache in places I never knew existed. So keeping up with just the everyday stuff we have to do around the house has been difficult enough ... plus I did get sidetracked here on NN with an issue....

The issue I refer to is something that just boiled my very being....really did.....it all started with a forum entry a "person" made that was insulting and went way beyond expressing an opinion....instead it was rude, insulting, and down right plain old mean and intended to cause upset...which it did for sure. Simply put this guy expressed his opinion about how pee has nothing to do with sex.....now had he just expressed that in a decent way nothing would have happened....but OH NO.....he had to push it beyond being civilized. So I answered and expressed My thoughts on how he conducted himself....in return he starts with some really nasty name calling.....example...calls my guy a "sick fuck".....so I get Wayyyyyy annoyed and start digging and find the guys profile and of course he has no photos up...at least under That profile...ya he has more than one for some obscure reason ....so it just went on and on.....he has a "blog" up...which is like so obviously fake...all this to create second persona and I just couldn't let it go....so like a goof I fell into the debate trap and at every opportunity pointed out how thin his game was... it was easy ..so many contradictions.....and dumb statements in his blog like how the supposed couple he and his wife swing with don't " look like swingers"......now that was a Good one.....LOL....I'm not usually one to fall into such things and should have known better but I guess we all get our buttons pushed and sometimes ya just have to take a stand....and I did....NN should be fun and stimulating in other ways and it has been that way for me.....Am I "over it"....well....no....but its supressed and that's the best I can do for the time being. I can take some satisfaction in exposing his game....and satisfaction in the fact that he never had one comment in the forum that supported his nasty and rightious attitude.

Other stuff.....

I was so mad at myself pauline for not having the camera to take puppy picts....we were gonna go visit the ranch where the puppy was born and had planned on photos....her name btw is "sky"......so didn't have the cam when they showed up at work...grrrrrr.....but will do some picts soon as she is home...which will be in March.

Today I will be workin on my rocks....have two tumblers full to drain and wash and set back up for another week of tumbling.....and going to try to do some more slabbing on the saw...

And.....ya....lol.....I will do some NN perving too.....after all its Sunday and I am off work...yaaaaaaa.....!

And "maybe".....I will get to play with my "sick fuck" hubby.....lol......

But now the sun is up so I better go feed the crew....pushing and shoving and head butting...LOL.....I swear I will teach these goats how to behave one day.......

Well like the goofy blonde I am I totally forgot to tell ya about pickin out my new puppy last Sat...duhhhhh.....Now most ppl would go visit the breeder....watch the pups scurry about on the floor and then choose...not here....lol....instead the pups arrived at our shop with the mom in a crate and I got to pick mine while they moved around on the back of a flatbed ranch truck....soooooo Wyoming.....lol.....They like all puppies are totally adorable...every one of them......and wow did I just work at picking one.....but sure enough the little girl one just got my eye and I chose her....she is marked lots like my Feather and I know she will change of course but you just get a sense of the right one...and she is for me! Yesterday we ordered an x pen for her so we can take her to our training classes which we will be starting this March...will help her to be around the other dogs as Border Collies tend to be a bit agressive with other dogs and I will also be able to work with her some during class breaks so it will work out great. Its gonna be a challenge to fit her in at home with the other two dogs but I'm sure we can manage that without too many hurt feelings in the "family".

I really feel for the folks out on the coast like pauline.....wow so many rainy dayz.....I remember we had a time in Montana like that ...one Summer it rained for 3 months with like 3 days of dry and sunshine....it Sucks...and can really mess with your mind too....Verrrry depresing.....

Well gotta run and do my goat poop removal....hehehe....such fun....but it actually is cuz ya get to play with the goats and watch their antics....yesterday the guy across the creek started up an old ranch truck with no muffler and the horse got spooked and ran around like a fool and the goats all herded up in the stall....what a zoo here...its Really becoming Greenacres here....lol....now if we only had a pig......mmmmmmm....

From Dark Wyoming....ya the sun hasn't come up yet but the Kat is out......lol.......outta bed that is.....and ready for another week tho sure wish there was a way to make weekends longer ones cuz Im finally gettin over the head cold and feelin a bit frisky......

Kinda worried about how dry its been here this Winter.....sheesh like we have had sooo little snow....I look up at the mtns everyday and ya there is some up there but measured in inches rather than feet....if this keeps up come Spring we will be having some pretty serious fire danger and hay will get to be Very costly too!

Gotta run.....but just wanted to tell everyone that I am sendin ya kisses...

Hi all..
Well here I am back.....see what happens when ya have a head cold and stay indoors...two blogs in a day!

So Bob got out his camera and took a photo of the fossil....seems pretty good so I'm gonna try posting it here......this is just a piece of limestone I found in an old irrigation ditch on our property....ya have to wonder how it got here....did it come on a glacier, wash down the ditch from the mountain or who knows....but if ya look careful you will see the fish and actually parts of several fish....kinda cool find I think!



Bi-I shape the rocks into shapes that I can use in making like pauline said...buttons, necklaces, I make slabs for pen pencil sets...or just like to tumble them to see how they shine.....right now Im experimenting and findin my way but the machines I have let me do lots and Im enjoying the learning.....it takes time to do the slabbing on the saw and the set up has to be just right so the cut is even and Im still feelin my way to get that right....lol....but its fun and keeps me off the street...sorta......lol

Back to work.....hope ya like the fossil...NO NO...not me....the fish....

Hiya...
Well yesterday was a bust...lol....was supposed to get my hair done right after work but work kinda got extened to the point of not bein able to make the appointment and since the gal who does my hair is off to Mexico....well it will be 10 day wait.....Oh My the problems we all have.....lol.....But after work I was just toast....so went to bed and rested....have a head cold and my nose is drippy and didn't feel like doing much anyway.

Today tho I'm motivated....gonna slice and dice some rocks....hehehe....I have two tumblers going and they have to be emptied and the rocks washed and then I'm gonna experiment with some grinding.....you heat this "dop wax" stuff and attach the piece your workin on to a stick so ya can hold it and grind and polish....I even have safety glasses!

Bob is gonna try to photo that fossil I have and hope it comes out well so I can show ya all....takin paulines advice too...over in Thermopolis is a Dinosaur center and next Spring were gonna visit there again and take the fossil to see what they say....its just an exciting find for sure!

Wishin that the day was longer.....worked too hard last week and need lots more time off to play!

Well I see there are folks who are happy with my hot water soup reicipe and I plan on serving it at the next NN reunion so be sure to attend!

Yesterday we worked late again...sheesh thats like three days this week ..so glad Sat is just around the corner! I have all my rock stuff set up on a table up here in our loft and am gonna cut, grind, and polish my ass off this weekend! One of the gifts Bob got me was this magnifier light and last night I was looking at some limestone slabs I found her on our place and one of them caught my eye , I remember finding it a year ago and noticed that it had all these marks on it....well Sonofabitch.....its marked allright...it has fish fossils...its Amazing....fish about 3" long....one on top of the other...one is totally complete and you can even see its eye! I'm just amazed and so excited...just imagine how old this piece must be! Im gonna ask Bob to photograph it this weekend and if it is visible I will post it on here.

Oh ya before I go muck out the stall here is a fun thing to do online when ya get boored with pervin NN....*does this ever happen??? But try this its cute!

Hey its kinda fun bloggin again...like three days in a row....now this tells ya that I have Not been spendin my time pervin the gals on NN.....LOL....ya ya...I Look at the womyn and glance at the guyz!

Ok Im a runnin a bit late but here is the sought after recipe for Hot Water Soup.....

First ....and this is the real trick.....you Must use a soup pot that is well seasoned.....I mean this is critical! To determine if the pot is seasoned you run your finger along the inside of the pot....again a critical step....IF your finger comes out sticky you then smell it.....*your finger Not the pot.....that comes later.....so if your finger smells like it would if you had stuck it in the sink drain you have a good chance of making progress....Next you smell the pot...again a critical step..and remember this whole process is quick and takes less time than you have spent reading this BS story of fine hot water soup prep. So if the pot smells like yesterdays garbage after it sat in the sun 12 hrs then your all set to begin! Next step is the Real key to making fine hot water soup....you find a horse trough...or bovine one....and dip the pot in capturing the "essence" of the water *hint....look for a trough that has green slime in it....this adds a wonderful flavor later.....run to the stove and heat the burner till its like cherry red.....place your seasoned pot on the burner and bring the water to a boil...you may see "stuff" float to the top and this is a good sign that your soup will be most palatable....Now cool the soup to your taste....some like it hot.....others find a cold soup more enticing.....and FEAST.....Oh ya....a well seasoned soup spoon is also a help but I haven't time to explain how to season your silver....perhaps another time.....

Well we kinda worked a bit late yesterday....like till 8 last nite...but sometimes ya gotta and it wasn't too bad till we got home and I remembered I had a roast cookin...and cookin ...so when I peeked at it...well it was kinda small....LOL.....so having read dawn and paulines comments on the last blog I whipped up some hot water soup......w0000ooo I had forgotten all about that recipe.....it was Wonderful.....and the nice part is that what ya dont consume ya can use to wash in!

But workin after hours is part of our lives at times and when you are in an area where they are drilling 24/7 its kind of expected cuz ya have to keep the equipment runnin. Had to laugh cuz the truck we worked on was so big some of it hung out the shop door and its Cold here.....so we finally moved it up enough to close the door but then it was out of position to drain the oil.....so we get some old cardboard box and fold it so we can drain oil and you should have seen us layin on our backs holding it while dirty ol diesel oil drains out...the stuff is of course hot and it Stinks.....lol...so when we finally did get home that hot water soup was a real help in cleanin up!!!

Well sun is peekin up and I better get outside and feed the critters.....and if ya beg I will share my hot water soup recipe with ya.....hehehe....
