I love Pink...and I really love her hair.

So glad it's finally warming up. I really wanted to go to the lake, but I spent a few hours today and yesterday in my back yard. I have a huge pile of rocks that my youngest has been harassing me to move. So I poked around in them instead. And I learned a very useful fact today; centipedes can swim. So much for using the hose to get rid of them. I am terrified of centipedes. Not only are they scary and disgusting-looking, but they bite. Hurts like a bee sting.

Speaking of being scared, my youngest can be such a little shit sometimes. Last night, she hid on the other side of the open pantry door. So when I walked past, she jumped out and scared the bejeezus out of me. (I almost got sick.) She was so delighted with herself , once she was able to contain her laughter, she ran off to share it with her big sister.

Had a good time out. A really good time, since I didn't have to drive home. I should be doing that way more often, the going out, not the having a bit too much to drink.

Just realized the other day, about another three weeks, and I've made it to the 6 month mark on abstinence...and thinking, hey, I can do it at least for another three weeks...and tonight, I'm debating, do I really want to? I mean, what if...(fill in any number of blanks here) I would make a joke about sex addiction but someone, somewhere, someday would hold that against me. I've been called one before, but as I know the meaning of monogamy and am more than willing to practice it...I can't help that I have an extremely high sex drive. And I'm sure, there's been a man (or two or three) I've been addicted to.

Talked to someone from my friend's lawyer's office today...about talking to my youngest...after setting up a time to call and speak with my daughter, he called back to say that they didn't even know if it was going to go to trial so talking with my daughter would be pointless right now. Her trial is in less than two weeks away. So it kinda sounded to me like maybe they would be dropping it. And if that's the case, I don't care if it's a school night. Her and I are celebrating. I don't get hangovers anyway, but if I'd be driving, therefore limiting myself. (Though it would be oh-so-nice to get a bit drunk and not have to worry about getting home (or having to retrieve my car in the morning.) I could go out tomorrow and stay at my friend's...if I'm up to it.

I love this song...although I always feel so sad when I hear it.

I spent almost two hours at the lake. I love exploring it this time of year because I can walk places that are normally under water. I took some pictures and added to my rock collection. Then I spotted some type of woodpecker or sapsucker and spent probably a good 15 minutes trying to get a picture before I got to close and startled it away.





Not the greatest pictures, I know. Only about half of them actually had the bird in it.

Well, I found one way to get my youngest out of the living room. I have a male mannequin head my oldest had from school sitting on top of my entertainment center. It creeps her out.

Awesome song...would put me in the mood if I wasn't there already. I so love Puddle of Mudd.

(Just now noticed there was a typo...some days, I guess I'm just more blonde than others.)

Having a pretty fabulous week. My oldest was planning on taking me out for lunch yesterday, but since it was a snow day, she treated her sister, too. And picked up her fiance on the way, so it was a nice little family lunch. We ran out to wal-mart after so I could pick up a different phone for my youngest (which she told me she loves) and I found my most favorite movie ever ("The Wedding Singer" on dvd...I've been looking for the longest time, especially since getting the new tv/blu-ray player cause I couldn't watch it anymore. And since I had to see my shrink today, I went to my oldest's work. I treated her to lunch and then she did my hair. It needs to be done again cause the roots are very strawberry blonde but it was nice spending time with just her. And right now, my youngest is at track practice, so I have the house to myself. For about another 30 minutes unless she calls to tell me she's going to her best friend's after.

I think I like the second one just a little bit better.

Just watched "Fun Size" with my youngest. Enjoyed it immensely. Still have "Les Miserables" to watch yet...don't know if I'll watch it later tonight or wait until tomorrow. My oldest-after teasing me-kinda wants to see it now. But I'm enjoying how quiet-and solitary-it is with everyone else in their rooms.
