Thursday, June 5, 2008, 11:19:53 AM- They Are Back...Or It's Back.
The cancer is back. After the latest sweep three days ago when Steverino got kicked out, there was hope that perhaps there would be peace in NN Land. But no, they are still sending anonymous PMs trying to stir shit and keep it going. I'm a lifer here, and I'm staying. So you Assholes won't be getting your way. Play your little games, cry for attention. I will send you a little toy badge in the mail if you send me your address. That way you can show that to your Momma, or the Daddy that takes you when he wants to. Don't you have a Life, Assholes? Meanwhile, the good people in the forum suffer...

Well, I don't know where the one that bought a ticket and went for a glide in the rain is; but I've had news from one that blogs and checks in here sometimes. It seems that...(Perhaps after seeing the commercial in which a computer is thrown from a window to test its flying capability)...our man investigated his laptop's ability to fly and cover distance. The plan was to put it on top of his car, accelerate to 45 mph, brake hard and see how far an unsecured light-weight laptop would glide by itself. The test would be recorded by a windshield camera and submitted to The Guinness Book of Records Organization. Unfortunately, a distraction occurred during the test. The driver forgot to brake at the specified speed, resulting in the loss of a perfectly working laptop and an common profanity exclamation by the driver. The test results were only recorded by the driver via the rear view mirror. The record-keeping organization has made no comment other than there was no alcohol involved, and the loss will not be compensated. Our Mr Cooper would like to express his regrets to his followers, and to the ones he would like to follow. He will return as soon as possible, right after he finds all the pieces. He has advised me that based on other tests, a wireless mouse will travel over 53 feet after being manually thrown. No other tests are known to be pending.

It was a good day pool side. Hot but with a nice breeze. An English couple that frequently visit cousins here told us about their big culture shock today. They are well-traveled, in their 30s and she’s a Bobbie back in the UK. It turns out they had met a friend here, also a policeman (local) , who took them to a gun show and then to a shooting range. Their faces, as they told the story of their impressions, made for many laughs and comments as they recounted their day. Of course they laughed too, but as she said, she came back ready to get on the airplane back home. Lol. Apparently at the gun show they saw what would be prohibited weapons in England, -assault rifles and even knives that would be banned there. They also ran into a fellow with a Nazi T-shirt, who claimed ‘freedom of expression’ about the symbol. At the same time he was thumping a bible. (The male of the couple happens to be Jewish). A few other impressions were covered, among them the different secular attitudes of countries. - the different attitudes in even areas and regions of the US and Europe. All in all, a good afternoon, good drinks, and very pleasant company. That reminds me: Tomorrow I should clean my firearms. grin. OK, that last sentence wasn't funny. *Edit on a Sunday morning* Thankfully, the visitors know that the experiences they had yesterday are not truly representative of this country. Even if they did have to somewhat reassured of that yesterday. But it it is certain to be a topic at the local pub when they return home. I wonder how many of those listeners then will say that their story only confirms what they might think they know about Americans?
