After a long weekend in Canada, it's back to work & back to reality today.

The cottage was wonderful. Walked through the front door and felt this overwhelming feeling of being "home". Was great to see some of my summer neighbours again too - had missed them. It was colder than expected....it actually SNOWED briefly on Sunday. The good side to this was.......no mosquitos or black flies!!! So juicy.....thanks for the deet - but didn't need it LOL!!!!

I am feeling well relaxed and revitalized. I needed that breath of fresh air. Hope to make it into chat this week too. Don't think I have really been in for almost 2 weeks now. Missing all my NN friends and can't wait to catch up.

Really I wasn't hiding. I have been lurking and commenting on blogs and stuff from time to time and of course...perving *cheezy grin*

Death is always a hard blow and I guess in some ways with the passing of my uncle it reminded me that my father's days are numbered also. My dad is my measure of all men. He is so totally amazing and it crushes me every day to see his health fail. I guess we all must come to terms eventually that our parents will not be with us forever. My youngest claims she is never moving out cause she can't fathom being away from. I guess it takes baby steps to come to terms with any sort of separation either wanted or unwanted, expected or unexpected.

On a totally brighter note..........COTTAGE SEASON STARTS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am off to open up the cottage this weekend I cannot wait. Its been since October when I was there last to close it up. Will be a work weekend but there will be play too. My neighbours are awesome up there.

I am signing off with a big "cheers" to all my fellow canucks and wishing them happy May 24 (appropriately named I might add) LMAO. For those non canucks.....cheers to a great weekend!!

I was back VERY early this morning. The funeral is today for my uncle who passed Thursday. Unfortunately I will not be there as I was called home for my son. He is in tough shape - poor little man. Seems he is covered in poison ivy - HEAD TO TOE.....and yes I do mean he has it "everywhere"!!! YIKES!!

My family will be there to bid my farewells but as a mom my duty is here with my son. He needs me.

First off thank you to everyone who has commented and voted on my most recent set of pics. Its always nice to see and I love to read the various comments. Thanks to those who sent PM's also and I will get replies out soon...please be patient with me.

Now for the bad news......I experienced a death in my family today. This is the second one in 3 weeks and its hitting me really hard for a few reasons. It's always hard to manage death - I know. This was a sudden death but the end to a lengthy illness. The very same illness my father is suffering from which is causing me to really lose my head.

I need to get things sorted out....by "things" I mean - ME. Taking some time to myself.

Well Sat is here at last. It was a short week for me but still seemed long. The weather was incredible and I wished I could be out enjoying it rather than inside (at work). Temps soared to mid 70's which for April is incredible. The warmer it gets the more I am reminded of having last summer off and the odds of that happening again are almost nil (

Took a trip to the greenhouse yesterday and got some spring pansies to plant so you can all look forward to some new pics featuring them (and me of course) sometime soon.

Has been a busy couple of weeks but the good kind of busy. Sorry I missed you all last night in the kitchen.....I wasn't home - decided at the last min to go and visit with a friend. Contrary to the belief that I may have been otherwise "occupied" with someone from the sunny state of Cali!!!

Just a question for all of you. I know many of you are hooked on blogs so tell me what sorts of things do you like to read or see in the blogs you read. I see many of us enjoy sharing our non-nude pics here, the odd nude or teaser pic as requested, some use their blogs to vent, others for support, some tell jokes and provide links out to their fav sites or jokes......I am just curious. I read blogs daily myself and comment on occasion too. I have noticed lately that although my blog is being linked to....I get very few comments.....and 99% of my comments are from the men.....do the ladies not read.....or do they just not comment??

It's finally here. Felt like this week was never gonna end. Looking forward to some home time this weekend and maybe a little Spring cleaning.

What a day today....it'19C (translates to roughly 66F for those south of the border). No matter you read it....its warm for March 31st in Canada.
