Son said it was great. Did it like a steak ( but slowly - for Woderwick), with spinach ( for Juicy ), cherry tomatoes, fried onion and tzatziki. Was kinda cross between lamb and a steak. Deff would have it again. Now would like to try a roast leg of mutton. Maybe in another 54 years. lol | ||||||

Never tried it but always wanted to. Cant get it at the butchers any where. Kangaroo? Yes. Lamb? Yes. Mutton? no. Any way had a job at a little country town in Central Vic today and had to be there by 8 this morning. So up at 4.30 and in the car by 5.00am. Shit I need the money so I am happy to be going to a job. Well across the road from the job is a butchers and lo and behold the sign says they sell motton. This is too good to miss, so over I go and ask a few questions. I only know mutton as a roast but they have back straps and pies and..... well I settled for the back straps. Only prob is it is at least a 3 hr drive home. No prob....a bag and some ice in plastic and I bring some home, along with some pork rashes from some rare breed. Looking forward to finding out if the experience is worth it. I am sure it will be........I hope lol | ||||||
