Was kinda cross between lamb and a steak. Deff would have it again.

Now would like to try a roast leg of mutton. Maybe in another 54 years. lol

Never tried it but always wanted to. Cant get it at the butchers any where. Kangaroo? Yes. Lamb? Yes. Mutton? no.

Any way had a job at a little country town in Central Vic today and had to be there by 8 this morning. So up at 4.30 and in the car by 5.00am. Shit I need the money so I am happy to be going to a job.

Well across the road from the job is a butchers and lo and behold the sign says they sell motton.

This is too good to miss, so over I go and ask a few questions. I only know mutton as a roast but they have back straps and pies and..... well I settled for the back straps. Only prob is it is at least a 3 hr drive home. No prob....a bag and some ice in plastic and I bring some home, along with some pork rashes from some rare breed.

Looking forward to finding out if the experience is worth it. I am sure it will be........I hope lol
