Two day old puppies get extremely vocal when their mom comes out for her morning dog biscuit. Heaven forbid their boobies walk off for a minute to eat!

For it being 3 tiny puppies, they are loud....just sayin'

I'm down to 3 pups now. There were two runts in the litter, one black and one brown. The brown puppy passed last night and the black one passed right after I got home from work

On the happy side....there are still two black pups and one brown one...and all three are nursing....or yapping...or trying to yap while they nurse!

...did I mention that the entire litter was females? Not the first male...I've never seen that happen before....

Now at 3 black pups and one brown...and they all seem healthy!

It seems that my pit Terra isn't sterile and wasn't having a false pregnancy. I got home from work and when I went to the back gate to scratch everyone on the head, I heard puppies. She's curled up under the back steps in labor...so far there are two black pups that look like Moose and one brown pup that looks like Linus. At least I know Linus isn't the daddy....he got snipped two years ago!

Anybody want a puppy? They go up for adoption in 6 to 8 weeks...depending on how long they take to wean themselves...

One more of the kids has joined the "I can't reproduce" club! PJ went in at 8 this morning to get neutered and get his shots updated. Poor guy was scared to death...I had to pick him up and carry him to the truck and the girls at the vet had to literally drag him to the kennel after he got weighed. Picked him up around 3:30 and he wanted to sit in my lap for the drive home. Now he gets to stay inside for a couple of days, so he's in the kitchen recuperating. Right now he keeps looking for his 'nads....maybe he'll adjust soon.

Interesting development on a different story today.....when I left to go pick PJ up from the vet, I checked the mail. Seems that my attorney's polite letter worked! I found an envelope with all the deed paperwork signed and notarized from the out-of-state family that wanted to be difficult! Paperwork is in the lawyers hands already....maybe soon I can get my deed straight, get the insurance policy straight and get the money to fix the damned house!!!!

As much as I love my dogs, the parvo outbreak made me realize enough was enough. The kids are scheduled for spaying and neutering, one a week for the next billion years...lol! Last Wednesday Rayven was the first patient....surgery went great and she's in the house recuperating for a week until her stitches come out. I was trying to keep her isolated so she didn't rip a stitch, but she was miserable cooped up in the kitchen, so she has free run of the house with the other inside kids....

My girlfriend had scheduled an appointment at the vet to get 3 of the dogs fixed. Sascha and PJ were going to get neutered and Rayven (my prolific puppy maker) was going to get spayed. We woke up at 7 yesterday morning so we'd have plenty of time to get them ready.....or so we thought. PJ and Sascha do NOT like to walk on a leash! Both of them slipped their collars and it took me 20 minutes to get them back on and get them into harnesses. We get 3 very large and agitated dogs loaded in her SUV and head for the vet. It's only a 6 mile drive, should be easy. Yeah....I had almost 130 lbs. of dog sitting in my lap at one point during the trip. Get there....and find out she wrote down the wrong time. They were supposed to be there at 8 and we get there at 8:30. Vet can't do the operations since we were late, so we reschedule and head home. Get the 3 (still agitated) dogs out of the truck and go to put them in the kennel....and here comes Sissy and Duke running around the corner of the house to greet us. Sissy and Duke are inside dogs...or they were when we left for the vets office. One of my 4 inside dogs had figured out how to open the front door and they waited for us to get home before they showed us this trick. Now every time I leave the house for more than 10 minutes I have to lock the door. FFS, it's bad enough they change the TV channels when I'm at work......but at least Sis and Duke stayed in the yard...and Storm and Zoie stayed in the house.

Marmaduke usually annoys the hell out of grandma Sissy to the point she runs and hides under the bed....not today! Sissy figures she's gonna get some use out of his little furry butt...today he's a pillow...

I wanted to try taking photos of something that didn't run before the shutter clicked....lol

Tradition here is to get the dogs a leather collar and new name tags when they turn one year old. Sascha, PJ, Natascha and Lunna will be 1 in two weeks...but the boys go to the vet next Friday for "the snip", so they got their presents early....
