The wind is not my friend today. My morning walk was adventurous - leaves and twigs blowing at me in a 50-60 gale force. It has interrupted my internet with a flicker of power that makes me have to reset my computer and a couple of clocks. I'm thinking about donning an unlined nylon jacket, going outside, spreading my arms out and seeing where the wind takes me. ~ | ||

I was walking the other morning when I saw a lady walking her dog. The dog seemed friendly and she let me pet him. I told her I miss having a dog, but they are not allowed in the apartment where I live. She asked me if they allowed cats and I said yes. Then she asked me why I don't get a cat. I told her that if I wanted to live with someone aloof I would still be married. ~ | ||

I woke up hearing knocking this morning. Not my front door, but farther away. At first I thought it sounded like a woodpecker, just not consistent enough. I got out of bed and looked out the window. Nope, not a bird. My neighbors across the street were having new windows put in. Mystery solved, I put on the kettle and watched. When you're retired, it's fun to watch other people work. ~ | ||

Jif (peanut butter brand) has come out with a new product. Peanut butter and chocolate. I bought a jar. I tasted it. Didn't taste any peanut butter, but the chocolate is delicious. Smooth and creamy. Try it, you'll like it. ~ | ||
